What to do in a dental emergency
A dental emergency can be scary, but help is close by. Call us first. We can often see you the same day. Here's what to do until you get here.
A knocked-out tooth
Pick it up by the top, not the root. If it's dirty, rinse it gently with water. Try to put it back in its spot and bite down softly on a clean cloth. If you can't, keep it in a cup of milk. Then call us right away. Time matters: the sooner we see you, the better the chance to save it.
A broken or chipped tooth
Rinse your mouth with warm water. Save any pieces. Put a cold pack on your cheek to help with swelling. Then call us.
Bad tooth pain
Rinse with warm water and gently floss to remove any stuck food. A cold pack on your cheek can help. Don't put aspirin on your gums. It can burn them. Call us so we can find the cause.
A lost filling or crown
Keep the crown if you have it, and bring it with you. Try not to chew on that side. Call us to get it fixed.
Swelling
Swelling can mean an infection. Call us right away. If swelling spreads to your eye or neck, or it's hard to breathe or swallow, go to the ER or call 911.

Fit in the same day
Seriously one of the best experiences in a long time. I went in with an urgent need and the staff recognized that. They fit me into their busy schedule for immediate treatment and pain relief and even stayed after hours to complete the procedure. The follow up visit was much the same with nothing but kindness from the front staff to the dentist himself. Everyone was so kind. The process was efficient and the cost was more than fair. I am so glad these guys are in Rockwall and would highly recommend them to anyone with a dental need. Simply professional!!!!
